Meanwhile, in the Merseyside derby, Everton's Wayne Rooney scored from the spot to earn a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Earlier at Anfield, Everton captain Wayne Rooney equalised from the penalty spot in a Merseyside derby that ended 1-1 and left Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp fuming. Liverpool stayed fourth with 30 points, 13 adrift of leaders Manchester City who were playing later at second-placed Manchester United.
